For real.
How awesome does FREE hot yoga, not hot yoga, cycle, and barre classes sound?! If you have a few extra hours a week, this could be your reality.
I have a pass for unlimited yoga, barre, and cycle classes - and I don't have to pay any of my money (which is awesome since I'm a teacher and we all know teachers don't get paid much). How? Well, many studios have what they call a trade program. In a program like this, you simply trade your time for free yoga (and barre and cycle). It. is. AWESOME. Not only do you get free classes, you also get to meet some amazing people that you wouldn't normally meet in the regular classes that you attend - both other yoga students and the teachers. What better way to deepen your practice than to surround yourself with other yogis? 1. Free yoga. 2. Amazing people.
"What do you have to do?". Well, during the 2.5 - 3 hours a week at the studio, you could be doing anything from refilling the towels in the bathroom, to spraying mats, to wiping down studio floors in between classes, to checking people in at the front desk. It really depends on the day, time, and need of your studio. If you are looking to save some extra cash, meet new yogi friends, and have the chance to practice in studio more often, you should check this out as an option.
Depending on the studio, you might only get the free yoga. My studio (the best studio in Cincinnati) is amazingly wonderful and offers all of their classes for free. This includes workshops and specialty classes!
Ask your local studios if they have a trade program!
Namaste, my friends.
