Last Christmas I was given The Mat from Lululemon from my wonderful sister-in-law. What an awesome gift!
I was attending 3-5 hot yoga classes a week using The Mat each time. I followed the given instructions and washed it with soapy water after each practice. I submerged it in water after getting super sweaty. I loved my mat, but something was happening and we were growing apart...
Eventually, my yoga mat started to slide. Unlike other mats, my hands and feet were sticking just fine. It was the mat that was sliding on the floor of my yoga studio! Especially in warrior I and II, downward dog, and extended side angle, the bottom of my mat would slide around and cause me to fall. In both warrior I and II, the mat would pull and buckle. I washed my mat and had the same problem. I disinfected the mat, and had the same problem. I was out of ideas. Instead of bringing my own mat to class, I began using my studio's Jade yoga mat.
After doing some research on The Mat, I found that there were a few other people who were having the same issue as me. I also saw that a Lululemon representative had commented on the issue. She told her customers that Lululemon has an exchange policy for their products that doesn't expire. I decided to explore this option.
I brought my mat in to my local Lululemon and told the sales associate my issue. She assured me that this should not be happening. I was able to trade my old mat in for a brand new one for no cost. Just when I was getting frustrated with the Lululemon product, my faith was restored. Lululemon, your customer service is amazing. Thank you. My new mat is wonderful and I am not having any issues at all.
For anyone who is having an issue with any Lululemon product, I encourage you to talk to your local Lululemon. They will not disappoint.
